Email Marketing Campaigns and Why You Need A Structured Follow Up Series To Succeed

this article I want to briefly look at the 4 good reasons to have a structured follow up series before you start to email your list. They really are as Followers Australia

1. The short attention span of your visitor
2. You need to build a relationship
4. One sale versus multiple sales

Okay, let's look at these in some more detail.

1. The short attention span of your visitor

Everyone seems to be in a hurry these days and you only really have a short time span to get your message across. That is really tough to do except you have some really deep pockets to pay for some NLP eye catching stuff.

Broadband speeds allow people to skip from one site to the next in a matter of seconds. The visitor is not really even sure of what they want but knows they can skip to another site in no time flat anyway.

With all this it makes sense that you really want your visitor to do something definite when they are on your site like sign up so you can contact them later. At the end of the day you will not be able to deliver all your material in just one exposure and they will not even want to stay long enough to read the equivalent of 170 pages of information anyway.

2. You need to build a relationship

One of the reasons people buy stuff is because they believe it will solve a problem they have except of course you want to follow the hype and go for an all singing and dancing sales copy that gets people clicking hypnotically. Great for the clicks but you may also be looking at a good number of refund requests too and of course messed up conversion stats.

Basically people want to know who you are. That they are not being scammed. Look at it this way. Would you buy a $497 product or service without knowing the vendor? It's the same for your site visitor. They want to know you first.

You will get the impulsive buyers for $7 products but for $497 or $997 they will think a couple of times before taking action. They need more convincing. Wouldn't you?

Do you not feel pressured by the salespeople at the door? How about the telemarketers or one of my favourites the ones in the shops. You go into the shop to browse and you see them from the corner of your eyes and just want to move away because you don't want the strong arm tactics most sales people are known to use.

Well how about cutting your visitor some slack and delivering the benefits of your offer in a more friendly manner and not coming across as desperate but willing to listen and give them time too but ensuring you leave room for another encounter.

No kidding but if you rely on one exposure they will forget you because like I mentioned earlier they had not really thought out what they were looking for in their minds when they arrived at you site the first time.

4. One sale versus multiple sales

One of the main beauties of a structured follow up is that you give yourself the opportunity to present your case again and in fact tweak things a little to suit your new subscriber. You get to know them a little and offer more targeted information.

With a structured follow up series you can get them to tell you what they need help with and create or source it for them. If they have told you they are interested in something then there is a greater possibility of their buying that thing when it arrives. What do you think?

Let's say you have a follow up series with 7 products in it. The first 3 may not really be of interest but by number 4 they are interested and want to buy. This could not have happened if your product 1 was all they saw at your website.

Basically, if they like your stuff you can have one person buying at least 3 or so of your products and wanting to carrying on doing so at least this has been my personal experience and I am certainly not alone.

The stats say it takes about 7-12 exposures for people to make that all important buying decision. To rely then on one hard sale the first time people arrive at your site is not the most effective way of getting your subscribers to spend money with you.

Short version?

Make sure you set up a structured follow up series. Get away from some of the popular stuff of jumping from one affiliate promo to the next. Aim at people's problems and seek multiple exposures rather than one offs to present your solutions to their problems. Visit this Buy Instagram Followers Australia
